A Favorite Recipe: Oriental Fried Noodle Salad
Make this salad for your next cookout. Everyone will be asking you for the recipe. This salad has an interesting Chinese flavor combined with crunchy fried noodles and nuts.
Ingredients
½ Chinese Cabbage, or ¼ savoy cabbage (shredded finely)
6 Green Onions (chopped)
4 oz Lightly roasted slivered Almonds or Pinenuts
4oz packet Fried Noodles
Dressing:
¼ cup White Vinegar
¼ cup Castor Sugar
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 teaspoon Sesame Oil (Optional)
½ cup Olive Oil
Preparation method
- Mix all the ingredients of the Dressing in a bowl. Stir well until sugar is dissolved.
- Combine the Cabbage, chopped Green Onions and almonds in a salad bowl.
- Add dressing and mix well. Just before serving add the noodles and toss thoroughly.
